Caramel Apple Crumble Pie from Feasting on Fruit

This featured vegan recipe is a Caramel Apple Crumble Pie from Feasting on Fruit.

It’s healthy, oil-free, low-fat, and, if you use gluten-free oats and oat flour, it will be gluten-free too.

For the recipe you’ll need a bunch of fruitapples (shocking!), medjool dates, and a plantain, along with apple and lemon juice.

You will also need: gluten-free flour, tapioca flour, coconut sugar, rolled oats and oat flour, plant-based milk, and cinnamon.

The perfect winter treat, this fruit-filled, oat-y pie is made with a healthy twist, so there will be no need for guilt! The pie crust is also an adaptation from a Happy Herbivore Whole Wheat Pie Crust, but made to be gluten-free. The crust uses banana (or plantain, in this case) for added moisture and a nice low-fat option.
